Turtle country in the Celebes Sea

In the tropical waters of South-East Asia it's easy to meet a sea turtle relaxedly paddling around during his feeding rounds. One of the best known dive destinations in this area is Sipadan Island, Malaysia. Diving here is always good, sometimes it's simply awesome. This tiny rain forest covered island is the top of an ancient volcano rising up from the abysmal depths of the Sulawesi Sea.

While diving here it is easy to meet also sharks, manta rays and other large fish, meeting groups of up to 10 or 20 hawksbill or green turtles is quite common. This quiet animal swims efficiently by rhythmically moving its fins, much as a diver might do when visiting the turtles underwater world.

The same elegant calm is important to maximize the transfer of power from the leg to the fin and ensure the utmost efficiency. As divers we're exploring and enjoying the underwater world, not racing. Nonetheless a fin is a concentrate of technology and innovation designed to offer comfort, power and efficient propulsion through the water.

At SCUBAPRO fins come in two categories: blade fins and split fins. The classic blade fins provide thrust through a combination of the right materials and innovative solutions, while the unique SCUBAPRO split fins leverage leading edge technology to offer the maximum power with the minimum effort. In other words: pure efficiency.
