R&D Mechanical Engineer
Based in Spreitenbach (Zurich area), Switzerland, at our Research & Development Center of Uwatec, you will participate to new product development with a focus on Dive computers.
As a member of UWATEC R&D team, you will contribute to the continual stream of innovative new ideas to design the next generation of products.
In this role you will:
- Design IP68 Instrument housings
- Draw 3D CAD models (NX-7)
- Co-operate with HW Engineer on electronic/mechanic integration
- Verify the prototypes and materials with a Technician
- Produce tolerance calculations for parts
- Create the mechanical BOM’s
- Support Production Engineer in process design and production line set up
- Organize mold tools for new designs with Supply Manager for our Injection Molding Department
- Modify existing products and tools if requested- Acting as a proxy for the Mechanical engineer.
We are looking for a candidate who has made a first successful experience in hi-tech mechanical/electronics product environment, where he/she developed strong competence and knowledge in product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and
materials.
Successful candidate should have a basic understanding of ergonomic issues and experience with Lean and Six Sigma tools. Mechanical Engineering education, a minimum of 3 years working experience and fluency in English are required.
